The interactive boxes invite the viewer to play, manipulate and interact. The imagery used comes from objects in the kitchen such as cast iron pans, wine glasses and baking sheets. Lining the boxes is a womblike layer of laundry lint and filling the space inside the boxes are parts from broken costume jewelry.
Domestic Reflections Print Series Using photography to represent the physical world and drawing to represent the subconscious, this series layers the two mediums to highlight the incongruities between perceived notions of love, marriage and the family within the domestic sphere and the actual experience dominated by the routines and limitations in which we become bound. All of the backgrounds images are original photographs of ordinary objects found within the kitchen including, pots, bowls and the kitchen sink. Archival pigment prints with hand embellishments, Limited Editions
